Philosophy of Just For Health
VISION: We are all responsible for achieving and maintaining our own health and wellness. Sometimes a partnership is required with a person trained in holistic health so that one may gather correct information, make informed choices and have support while making life changes that could make a positive difference. Just For Health is dedicated to doing this.
HOLISM AND WELLNESS: Holism takes into account the mind, body and spirit of the individual. All aspects must be in balance and harmony in order for true healing to occur. One’s state of well being (ease or dis-ease) includes belief systems, thoughts, lifestyle, relationship, attitudes, energy and spirituality, as well as the physical body. These attributes are not static states, but are ever-changing conditions where, on any given day one may place oneself on a health continuum ranging from “sick” to feeling “just ok” to high level wellness.
Where Are You Today?
Just because one has no clinical symptoms does not mean that everything is fine. Often symptoms that are measurable from blood tests and other diagnostics are the LAST thing to appear. The body gives lots of warning signs, often vague feelings such as fatigue, indigestion, worsening allergies or chronic soft tissue pain, etc., that signals all is not well. These types of things are what a vast majority of people walk around with every day. They are not “clinically” sick but they know they could feel better.
Holistic approaches work at these levels. They help you reach that place where you know you could and would like to be.

Biography - Rachel Lord, RN,MH,CMT,CR
I am a registered nurse and have worked in critical care for 15 years. My interest in holistic health has blossomed over the years, particularly as I watched many people in the ICU return again and again for the same or related symptoms, just worse.
This was particularly true with chronic illnesses. (Trauma was and is handled well in the western setting.) I wondered why little was done on a preventative level when there is so much information out there. Why did the same person return for multiple heart bypasses, for instance.
Along the way I became a certified massage therapist CMT and then taught it at the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. I became a nationally certified Reflexologist and now teach it as well. I have also studied clinical nutrition and medical herbalism and am a Master Herbalist MH with an in-house herbal pharmacy.
