General Information Why?
In Combination: Herbs can stand alone for many health challenges or may be used along with western (allopathic) remedies to compliment and enhance treatment. Often herbs are used along with diet changes, vitamins, minerals, bodywork, energy work and more. For Prevention: You don’t have to be “sick” to benefit from herbs. Example: Adaptogenic herbs are used when you are well to boost the body’s reaction to stress, thereby helping immune function. |

Consultation: Initial consult lasts about 1½ hours. We discuss health goals, medical history, diet, stressors, exercise patterns, etc. There may be a brief physical exam, an Iridology reading (looking into the iris of the eye to determine given strengths and weaknesses of the tissue) and a tongue and pulse exam (Chinese medicine assessment). You will probably leave with an individually formulated herbal tincture and recommendations for supplementation, diet or exercise changes. As your condition improves, the herbal formula will change to reflect your current condition. Follow up appointments generally last ½ hour, depending on need. Just for Health encourages open communication regarding any concerns or problems or questions that may arise. Tinctures: Just for Health’s botanical pharmacy has about 100 individual herbal tinctures composed of Western and Chinese herbs. These are alcoholic extractions of the plant’s natural ingredients. They are formulated according to your individual needs and can be changed around as necessary. The tinctures come in little brown bottles with droppers in 2, 4 or 8 ounce sizes. A typical dose might be 3 squeezes twice a day in water.
